Abstract

The study proposes a possible way from "the captive mind" to the recognition culture from an onto-anthropological perspective centered on the analysis of the existential condition of the human being. Unlike psycho-sociological researches and ethical-political reflections, this work sets out to understand the "captive mind" in its existential frame, which incorporates and overpasses the political one. As metaphysical, the onto-anthro-pological perspective ought to be perceived as a complementary one. Dilemmatic, the present essay intends to be an invitation to reflect upon the "captive mind" phenomenon and the attempt of counteracting its effects through the culture of recognition.
