Abstract

The proposals provided by the liberal thought are varying, so that the universalistic and rationalistic-foundationalistic image of the classical liberal political philosophy, as well as the desideratum and the practice of the neutral liberal state are refounded, modified, contextualized, or even abandoned. The libertarianism, the pure, dialogical and deliberative political liberalism, the liberal multiculturalism, the contextualistic liberalism, or the pragmatical one are offering us solutions which change the political approach regarding the interethnic relations or the way the institutions are projected. Nevertheless, between these solutions we can appeal strictly to a dimension usually placed outside the common liberal instrumentary: the experience.
